Another school year is almost over. Here are a few reminders from the IT Department to help you keep your data safe and your Smartboards ready for the new school year.
- Be sure all your documents and files are stored on your network H drive. Any documents you have saved to your desktop or local hard drive will be lost when computers are reimaged over the summer. If you have documents or projects you will be working on saving your files to a flash drive will allow you to have access to them over the summer.
- If you have Internet favorites that you would like to have access to again after your computer is reimaged, you can save them to your H drive and import them back to your computer. Please refer to the article titled Saving Your Favorites which can be found under the section My Computer.
- For those who are not moving to a different location over the summer, please take time to store your Smartboard pens and erasers in a secure area. Smartboards should be covered to prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Please refer to the article on Smartboard storage which can be found under the section Smartboard for more information on proper storage of all Smartboard peripherals and devices.
- Shut down all computer equipment on the last day of school. DO NOT COVER YOUR COMPUTER. Only Smartboards should have protective covers placed on them.
